Bloomestate Responsible Tourism

• Bloomestate is very aware of the need of responsible tourism and makes every effort to expose it to their staff and in the end to the guests.
• Making use of energy save lights in the buildings as well as solar light in the garden, together with solar power geysers for the bathing facilities will ensure that South African natural resources are used for energy supply.
• Bloomestate uses local seasonal products from ecological resources and make use of local businesses as much as possible. Swellendam is famous for their Rain products ( www.rainafrica.com) which pilot shop is on the premises . Products are offered in our bathrooms and sold in the pilot shop on the premises.
• Staff is encouraged and enabled to have additional courses to improve their skills and their families financially supported for better education for their children.
  Local initiatives in the community of Swellendam are supported.
