We encourage to replace allien vegetation with idigenous plants, use mountain water and recycle grey water for irrigation and encourage guests to use water sparingly.

Our hotel is actively involved with the local community which is called Londo village.
We have build a school, are currently assessing a borehole for fresh water supply, actively participate in fishing control regulations for the greater Pemba bay area.

Makatana Bay Lodge
All our rubbish is sorted, biodegradable Items are left to rot on a compost heap and the bottles and cans etc are collected and sent away to be recycled and the rest is burnt in a small furnace daily, se we never have any rubbish lying around.

Welgelegen
At Welgelegen we recycle glass and plastics, use environmentally friendly products in our garden. We support Nazareth House, Air Mercy, St. Luke's Hospice, the Society for the Blind and Uthando.
